TYPHOON PLUS INC, was founded in January 2008 by housewares industry duo Simon Kirby and Peter Carter after their successful acquisition of Typhoon US, the established American subsidiary of European brand Typhoon®. With this new partnership comes a new name as well as some refreshing changes to the product line and a whole new look for the website, www.typhoonplus.com from March 2008. The introduction of some exciting new brands that compliment the Typhoon® line will offer retailers a greater diversity across some additional Housewares categories, and ensures that Typhoon Plus, Inc will be a name to watch throughout 2008.

TYPHOON® was founded in the UK in 1991 and started life as a European distributor of woks and Asian accessories. Since then they have become widely recognized as the first choice for stylish, innovative and unique products that are created by an in-house UK based design team who use a responsibly sourced combination of components and materials, to create exciting homewares products at exceptional value for the money. Typhoon® are utterly committed to their "designed to perform" mission and as such the Typhoon® family of products has grown to include kitchen scales, linens, tea and coffee accessories, woodware, and oil drizzlers, along with best selling collections such as the award winning Vintage Kitchen™ line, Retro Revolution and Capsule lines. New additions for 2008 to the Typhoon® brand of products include Crush Grind™ mills and an exciting line of products designed exclusively in partnership with color forecasters Pantone®

New Zealand company, SISTEMA© entered the plastic housewares market twelve years ago, determined to bring color, style and innovation to what was then a dull product area. Through in-house design and focusing on future trends, Sistema© offers a superb line of plastic storage including juice jugs, meat keepers and cereal containers, under the Klip It™ brand. Considered the leading storage brand in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Klip It™ containers are manufactured in New Zealand and exclusively distributed by Typhoon Plus, Inc for the US market. In addition, products such as lunch boxes, cools bags, and water bottles in fashion colors are available from the company.

RACHAEL HALE® is New Zealand's most acclaimed animal portrait photographer and her collection has been published in the stationery and gift markets worldwide. Her photographs uniquely and artistically capture the animal world and she celebrates the individuality and character of each of her subjects. From Spring 2008 Typhoon Plus Inc, will be exclusively offering the Rachael Hale® collection of lunch boxes, trolley bags, back packs, bags and drinks sleeves in the US market. The collection of products will be launched at the 2008 International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago.

The aim of Typhoon Plus, Inc. is to focus on new product development, to ensure that the line is up to date with current consumer trends in color, fashion and lifestyle, whilst also maintaining a tight infrastructure and offering service excellence, quality and value to our retail partners and in turn consumer customers. Typhoon Plus, Inc. products are warehoused at a state of the art facility close to Oakland port in California, and are supplied to leading housewares retailers across the US including department stores, quality supermarkets, cookshops and gift shops nationwide, as well as appearing in many national consumer magazines, newspapers and on Television networks across the country.
